Earlier this month, B.C.’s new NDP government outlined its plans to raise the provincial minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2021, a move that has been met with some trepidation from both Whistler’s business community and frontline staff. The first 50-cent increase announced by the previous Liberal government will go ahead as planned on Sept. 15, bringing the minimum wage to $11.35 an hour.…
