Redemption was top of mind for Quesnel resident

When Ian McIlvenna crossed the Whistler 50 Ultra finish line just after noon on Saturday, he dropped to his knees and bowed down to the ground, clearly thrilled with his victory. The Quesnel resident took the triumph in a blistering six hours, eight minutes and 10 seconds (6:08:10) to best runner-up Alex Grimbley from Vancouver by nearly 50 minutes in the overall men’s division in the 80-kilometre race.…
