North Shore team leader calls actions of hiking group ‘unacceptable’

North Shore Rescue is voicing strong concern after rescuing an injured hiker Sunday who was left behind in the backcountry by her hiking companions. Even worse, when rescue teams caught up with the rest of the hiking group, they were planning to leave the area and: “they had no intentions whatsoever of alerting authorities there could be a potential problem,” said Mike Danks, leader of North Shore Rescue.…
