Hemingway’s high way

When the bad weather came, Ernest and Hadley left Paris for a place where the rain turns to snow sifting through the pines and covers the roads and high passes. The Hemingways took the train from Gare de l’Est to Buchs in Switzerland then on to Austria, changing in Bludenz for Schruns, where they spent the winter and Ernest wrote and Hadley played piano and they both skied as much as they could.…
