Garibaldi Lake area closed due to increased bear activity

If you were interested in making one last trek up to Garibaldi Lake this October, you may be out of luck. Due to an increase in bear activity in the area, BC Parks, on the recommendation of the Conservation Officer Service, is closing the trail to Garibaldi Lake and the Garibaldi Lake area of Garibaldi Park in order to preserve public safety, BC Parks announced on Oct. 22.…
